New Year’s Meme
In 2008, I gained: lots of lessons learned and a kitteh.
I lost: a friend.
I stopped: obsessing over my blog stats.
I started: going to the gym.
I was hugely satisfied by: all the huge projects that i finished this year.
And frustrated by: being alone.
I am so embarrassed that I: snore, even when I fall asleep in public.
Once again, I: spent too much money buying things.
Once again, I did not: compromise enough.
The biggest physical difference between me last December and this December is: a new piercing.
The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is: I know how to be alone.
I loved spending time: eating Jamaican jerked chicken at the Emeryville public market, while sitting outside and reading.
Why did I spend even two minutes: thinking that boy had changed?
I should have spent more time: hanging out with co-workers.
I regret buying: men’s diesel jeans thinking that they’ll still fit perfectly. My body’s changed a lot in the last 4 years.
I will never regret buying anything for my friends.
I snoozed way too much.
I didn’t laugh enough.
Trying to work in SF when my parents were blasted by Hurricane Ike in Houston drove me crazy.
The most relaxing place I went was my parent’s new house, built from the ground up.
Why did I go to bat for goodweather friends so much?
The best thing I did for someone else was buy then an entire new wardrobe at 40% savings, so I could get them more.
The best thing I did for myself was start to believe in me again.
The best thing someone did for me was give me a second chance.
The one thing I’d like to do again, but do it better, is manage expectations.
